Terms of Service

Version 0 · 2026-05-15

These terms are written in plain language by Joey Hipolito and have not been reviewed by counsel. They reflect how sched.fyi actually operates today; a formal v1 will follow once a Philippine attorney signs off. Material changes will be announced to active accounts at least 7 days in advance.

1. Who you're agreeing with

sched.fyi ("we", "us") is a software service operated by Joey Hipolito, based in Metro Manila, Philippines. By creating an account or using the booking page, you (the "business" or, when booking, the "customer") agree to these terms.

2. What sched.fyi does, and what it doesn't

sched.fyi provides booking pages, SMS confirmations, and a dashboard for service businesses. We are not a payment processor, a calendar provider, an SMS carrier, or a party to the underlying service contract between business and customer. The appointment, service quality, refunds, and any payment dispute remain between business and customer.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use sched.fyi to: send unsolicited bulk SMS; impersonate another business; offer goods or services that are illegal under Philippine law; collect data on individuals without lawful basis; or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm the service. We reserve the right to suspend any account engaging in the above without notice.

4. SMS quotas and delivery

Each tier carries a monthly SMS quota. Once the quota is reached, outbound SMS is paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. We rely on third-party SMS carriers (currently Semaphore) for delivery and do not guarantee SMS arrival — non-delivery to a recipient's number is not a breach of these terms.

5. Trial period and founding-member tier

Every business receives a one-month free trial from the date of first signup, regardless of when they register. After the trial, paid tiers take effect.

The first 500 businesses to register additionally receive founding-member status, which locks in a discounted rate on every paid tier for as long as the account remains in good standing — even if public pricing increases later. Founding status is per business account and is not transferable on sale of the business.

6. Your data, your customers' data

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice and the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012. As the business, you are the data controller for your customers' booking data; we act as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for obtaining lawful consent from your customers to be contacted via the contact details they provide at booking.

7. Account termination

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing hi@sched.fyi. We can suspend or close accounts that violate Section 3, fail to pay amounts due, or pose a security risk to other users. On closure, your booking data is deleted within 30 days unless retained briefly for tax or legal obligations.

8. Service availability and disclaimers

sched.fyi is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted availability. We pursue high uptime and recover quickly from outages but do not commit to a contractual SLA at this stage. A hosted status page is on the post-launch roadmap.

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₱5,000.

This limit does not affect any non-waivable rights you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394), the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173), or any other applicable Philippine law.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall be resolved in the proper courts of Metro Manila. Before filing a claim, please email hi@sched.fyi — we resolve most issues informally within a week.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the product evolves. Material changes (pricing, data handling, account-termination grounds) will be announced to active business accounts at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
